DVD production and distribution
DVD is currently the most popular way to enjoy recorded movies.
This is a technology which largely by-passed format wars to grow spectacularly fast, partly because most of us like the ease of use, convenience and high picture and sound quality it offers.
And bonus material, taking subjects to greater depth, has proved a big success with commercial titles.
For corporate communicators, too, DVD remains the medium of choice for rich
visual programme delivery. The format is portable, flexible, and produces excellent results on anything from budget laptops (with any mainstream operating system) through to large screen digital systems.
For the near future, though, web delivery even of very large files is becoming increasingly possible, and there is promise in the distribution of high definition media
(as computer files or on Blu-Ray discs) . Of course, there also remains a huge installed base of VHS players (and recorders) which may take many years to fall out of use.
Grapevine's expertise in moving image production and interactive design combine
usefully to allow the creation of excellent, engaging DVDs, whether these carry a single video or offer a menu of choices.
Recent DVD projects include:
- a documentary report on a community safety initiative, for a regional Government Office;
- internal communications on technology transfer, for a pharmaceutical multinational;
- graduate recruitment, for a pharmaceutical multinational;
- stimulus for training sessions, for a Primary Care Trust;
- quality and standards motivation for a management meeting, for a higher-education institution;
- an exhibition centre site history, for a local authority / design agency partnership;
- sales support exhibition motion graphics, incorporating photography, 3D and music.
Grapevine has a strong track record of developing visual material to meet specialised
audience and communications needs, and of pulling together appropriate teams and resources to make projects happen on time, and on budget. Contact details.
